The First Grade students of the Marble Elementary School in East Lansing conducted a fundraiser to support the Food Bank pantry at Haven House.  They made and sold "Snowman Soup" (hot chocolate, marshmallows and candy cane) to raise money and warm the hearts of the many people who bought their product as well as the people who will receive food from the Food Bank.  At this time when more and more people are finding it difficult to provide food for their families, they have met a real need.  This was a remarkable example of the way the community has been responding to the needs of those who are facing extreme financial stresses.  We all thank the First Graders of the Marble Elementary School who have set a wonderful example for all of us!
