Tis the Season for Giving
Adopt-A-Family for Christmas matches donors to former clients of Haven House or families that currently live at the shelter. We ask families what their needs and wants are as they are in their first year of stable housing. We also ask what clothing, shoes, and coat sizes are needed for their children and provide you with their wish lists. Every year we hear how thankful they are for the help and support through this program, so we hope you’ll join us for Adopt-A-Family for Christmas 2025!
How to Adopt-A-Family for Christmas
Below is a list of available families, along with links to their wish lists, which you can download immediately. Once you’ve chosen a family, please email the family number to the Volunteer & Projects Manager. This will ensure the family is marked as adopted and removed from the list, helping us keep track of those still in need.
Important: Do not begin shopping until you receive a confirmation email that the family has been officially assigned to you. Some families may be selected after hours or over the weekend, and the list may not reflect the most recent updates.
Gifts should be new and unwrapped, but we do ask that you label the gifts for each individual family member and include wrapping paper and tape during drop off for parents to wrap 🙂
Gifts will be dropped off at Haven House Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm from December 1-19 by appointment only, no unscheduled drop-offs please!
When you are ready to deliver, please call 517-348-0688 or email our Volunteer & Projects Manager to schedule a drop-off during regular business hours.
