The Executive Director leads and manages a Non Profit Organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the operations, finances, programs, staff, volunteers and other stakeholder relationships to achieve the Non Profit Organization’s mission, vision and strategic plan.


  • Lead the organization in a manner that is consistent with its mission and vision
  • Implement the organization’s strategic plan, working with the Board to make changes as necessary
  • Regularly evaluate the environment for risks and opportunities potentially affecting the organization
  • Ensure program policies, procedures and practices are consistent with regulations and the organization’s mission and vision
  • Oversee talent management and maintain a climate that attracts and retains a talented and diverse staff
  • Create and maintain relationships with individuals and organizations to facilitate success of organization’s financial future
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement, including ensuring development and execution of a public relations and communication plan
  • Develop deep relationships with the Board and promote its efficient and effective function
  • Prepare agendas, reports, and materials for board meetings


  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Experience in Human Services executive level position minimum of five years
  • Proven work experience as a non-profit Executive Director or similar role
