Haven House provides emergency housing and support services for one-parent and two-parent families with children. The shelter helps families who are homeless prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility.
In addition to housing, residents receive meals, crisis counseling, assistance with goal setting and referral to other agencies as needed. More About Us

Haven House 30th Anniversary
2013 marks our 30th year of service to the community! For 30 years, Haven House in East Lansing has partnered with the community to fulfill its mission of providing emergency housing and support services for one-parent and two-parent families with children. We also help homeless families prepare for permanent housing by developing and promoting self-sufficiency, stability, and financial responsibility through several programs.

helping us sustain the worthwhile work that has benefited over 150 families this past year.

Donating items on this needs list is an important way to help meet the needs of the families who stay here.
Residents use these items both during their stay and upon leaving the shelter.
When you donate items on this list you also help defray operating costs of the shelter.
Sun-screen (SPF) and aloe vera
Simple Green all-purpose cleaner (gallon size)
All hygiene supplies and general cleaning supplies
Liquid hand soap
Cooking pots and pans
Quart-size ziploc bags

The best time to drop off donations is Monday-Sunday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Go through the Post Office parking lot to reach our parking, marked "Haven House."
